events this week to know about: the growing Seattle institution known as Fin Records is celebrating their 3rd
anniversary this Tuesday at Conor Byrne in Ballard with performances by NGD
favorites Seacats
and Tangerine;
on Saturday, the 5th annual DIY Holiday Fair is taking place at the Vera
Project. In addition to local crafts, the event will feature tables from
Debacle, Eiderdown, Jigsaw, CTPAK, ggnzla and more!; finally, that evening head
over to Black Lodge for the Seattle Passive Aggressive's 2nd Annual Holiday
Bash featuring Diesto, Sam-Sex Dictator, Big Trughk, and Greenriver Thrillers.
Other great touring bands
include Jeff Tweedy at the Moore; Pere Ubu with Monogamy Party at the Neptune;
Holograms at Chop Suey; and King Krule at Barboza with Willis Earl Beal.
Local stuff: Bacillus, the
long running harsh noise project of Peter Keller is having it's first
performance in 7 years at The Highline on Monday; Black
Hat is performing with White
Boy Scream, Viviane James, at Bat at Teatro De La Psychomachia on Friday; Lazer
Kitty and Gems
are playing the Blue Moon the same evening; and Lunamoth is having their CD
