SWL #32: Imaginary Pants, "Seacliff"

This song hits me right from the start with the urge to dance. Not a sexy kind of dancing either; an all wild, limbs a-flailing, singing along at the top of your lungs type of dance that fits perfectly with  summery images of slip 'n slides and popsicles. But maybe that's just me? The track is the B-side off of the latest 7" by Imaginary Pants, the venerable duo of Jon Manning (Sandy City, Blanket Truth) and Rose Melberg (Tiger Trap, The Softies, as well as a notable solo career), and it comes on the heels of a seriously amazing full length debut for Lost Sound Tapes late last year. The single is out now on Long Island's Rok Lok Records and it's highly recommended for anyone with even a passing proclivity for punk-infused twee. No upcoming shows at the moment as they have just finished their first east coast trek a couple of weeks ago, but you'll know when we do!
