When he's not engineering, mixing, or designing album
artwork for his friends as Halfshell Records, Daniel Onufer is busy recording
bluesy psych-pop as part of Seattle trio Swamp Meat. On 2012's Tomorrow, Onufer and band-mates Laura Seniow and Geoff Traeger demonstrate their
knack for generating songs with a surprisingly strong and unassuming pop
sensibility. "Ball of Dirt" is my favorite off that record at the moment; I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last few days and I can't get over it's lovely, fuzzy melody and unkempt vocals. Catch
Swamp Meat at Heartland on the 29th (tomorrow night) along with Mega Bog and Bad Weather California.
