Oneohtrix Point Never. Daniel Lopatin, the genius behind Software Records (Huerco S., Co La, Slava, Pete Swanson, Autre Ne Veut, and on and on) is bringing his acclaimed experimental music project, Oneohtrix Point Never, to the Crocodile on the 4th. I'll be very surprised if this doesn't sell out. The other big show worth mentioning is happening over at Neumos the same night: Pure Bathing Culture with great locals La Luz and Night Cadet. I'd recommend the Frankie Rose show with White Lies on Friday, but it's been moved to April...bummer.
It's a big week for fans of local dream-rock and shoegaze. Check out the Red Martian, Dirty Sidewalks, Balm, and Vibragun show on Thursday; and either the Wind Burial, Levator show at Blue Moon; or The Atomic Bride, Jupe Jupe, Black Nite Crash show at The Sunset Tavern--both on Saturday night.
Other great looking odds and ends: experimental poppers shouldn't miss the Tessitura, RDC, and Lobsana show over at World of Beer on Friday. I really can't wait much longer for Lobsana's new EP! Also, there is a massive punk/metal show at Fusion Cafe on Friday with Breag Naofa that looks really fun, and the Teatro De La Psychomachia is hosting a night of loud weirdness featuring that maniac Sioux City Pete on Saturday.
